carnival firenze family activities
We’re exploring some of the fun and unique spots aboard our ship where we can stay active, relax, and enjoy various forms of entertainment. From the jogging track that loops around deck 11 to the lively arcade filled with games, there’s something for everyone to experience and enjoy together.
As we move through the ship, we’ll see areas designed for all ages, like the water slides and play zones, alongside peaceful spaces for adults to unwind. These diverse options make it easy for us to find the right balance between activity and relaxation during our time on board.
Jogging Track Experience
Design and Length of the Loop
The jogging track circles the deck and takes four complete laps to cover one mile. It offers a straightforward path for anyone looking to get in a good run or walk while onboard.
Seating Options and Surrounding Vibe
There’s a seating area right next to the track, but be aware that it’s located beside the basketball court. It can get a bit noisy, so if you prefer a quieter spot, you might want to avoid sitting there. On the plus side, there’s a foosball table nearby for a quick game.
Nearby Fun and Relaxation Spots
Close to the jogging track, you’ll find the ropes course and a mini golf area with a few holes. Beyond that is the arcade, offering a mix of games like air hockey and racing simulators. This setup keeps the energy lively around the track, making it easy to switch from exercise to entertainment.
Unique Ship Features
Change From Costa to Carnival Identity
When this ship became part of our Carnival fleet, we chose to keep the original funnel design instead of replacing it with our usual whale tail shape. The funnel still shows the big blue sea logo on a yellow background, a clear nod to its Costa origins.
Distinctive Funnel Appearance
Our ship’s funnel stands out with the bright, original colors from its previous life. It’s a large, eye-catching blue sea emblem on yellow, located right in front of the ropes course. This makes it easy to spot and adds a unique character compared to other Carnival ships.
Zones for Active Fun
Climbing and Zip Challenges
Right at the front of the funnel, we find the ropes course. It’s a great place to test our balance and agility as we climb and navigate obstacles high above the deck. The course offers a thrilling experience for those up for a physical challenge.
Putting Around the Course
Just beneath the ropes course, there’s a mini-golf area with a few holes. It’s simple and casual, providing a fun way to enjoy some friendly competition without anything too complex or fancy.
Toss Games and More
Nearby, we have a cornhole setup along with table games for some laid-back recreation. These games add variety and a chance to relax while staying active in a social setting.
Games and Fun Activities
Variety of Game Options
Inside the arcade, we find a solid mix of games. There’s air hockey, racing simulators, and virtual reality experiences like Godzilla and even a Halo game. These options give us plenty to choose from whether we want competitive or casual play.
Arcade Token Station
We can buy and manage our arcade tokens conveniently at a kiosk inside the arcade. This spot lets us check our token balance and link it with our Sail & Sign card, so we don’t have to worry about losing track of credits while playing.
Popular Picks for Everyone
A standout attraction for families is the duck catcher game—it’s clearly a favorite, as we’ve collected quite a few ducks at home! The arcade caters to players of all ages, making it a fun stop for both kids and adults.
Carnival WaterWorks Fun
Various Water Slide Options
We found two distinct water slides here. They both have a minimum height requirement of 42 inches to ride. These slides add a nice splash of excitement that anyone can enjoy, not just kids.
Splash Zones Designed for Everyone
There’s a playful splash area nearby that’s not just for children—it’s open to people of all ages. It’s a great spot to cool off and have some lighthearted fun together.
Spot Next to the Adults-Only Relaxation Zone
Interestingly, the entrance to the water slides is located right beside the 21-and-over Serenity Deck. This close proximity gives us easy access to both energetic play and quiet relaxation, depending on what mood we’re in.
Serenity Deck Access
Adult-Only Chill Zone
Our Serenity Deck is strictly for guests aged 21 and over, offering a peaceful retreat away from the energetic areas of the ship. This space is designed for those of us looking to relax without the usual crowd noise. It provides a calm atmosphere ideal for unwinding with comfy seating and a laid-back vibe.
Adjacent to Water Attractions
The Serenity Deck sits right next to the water slide entrance and water play area. While it’s great to have nearby fun things, the proximity to these lively spots might bring some noise and activity close to our quiet zone. It’s an interesting layout choice that mixes relaxation with a bit of excitement nearby.
Safety Tips and Guest Guidelines
Please remember to check in at your assigned stations whenever required. This helps keep everyone safe and accounted for during our activities.
On the water slides, guests must be at least 42 inches tall to ride. Let’s keep an eye out for these requirements to make sure everyone enjoys safely.
When using the jogging track or hanging out near active areas like the basketball court or ropes course, be mindful of your surroundings. Some spots can be a bit noisy or busy.
For those heading to the arcade or play areas, remember to use your Sail and Sign card responsibly for games and purchases. Keep track of your balance to avoid any surprises.
Enjoy all the fun, but always prioritize safety and cooperation so we can have a great time together.
